I am three times as old as my son. 15 years hence, I will be twice as old as my son. The sum of our ages is

Let  the   age  of   son  is   X  years   then  the  age  of   father  will  be   3 X

After   15  years

Age  of  son   will  be   X  +  15  years

Age  of   father  will  be   3X  +  15  years

  According  to   question

3X  + 15  =  2 (X +15)
or  3X  +  15  =  2X  +  30    or  3X  -  2 X  =  30 -15   or   X  =  15  years

Son's  present   age   is   15  years  and   father's   present   age  is    15  X  3  =  45  years
